After several weeks of strict quarantine in Spain, epidemic is regressing day after day, good news for Spaniards and foreign residents who will gradually be able to resume their normal lives.
Friday 15 may, the Spanish government announced tha Catalunya is moving into phase 1 of deconfinement on Monday 18 May. What is allowed during this phase?
* Meeting with family or friends, up to 10 people
* Travelling within the province
* Opening of terraces, hotels and accommodation at 50%
* Opening of stores of less than 400 m2, with a maximum capacity of 30% and 2 meters of distance, no longer appointment necessary
* Outdoor markets with safety measures and distances
* Opening of places of worship with 30% of their capacity
* Sport and adult walks are allowed (since 02/05), always respecting the time slots
In terms of opening borders, many different versions are making the rounds on social media, but according to official sources, the Spanish government has extended the closure of its borders until 15 June .
With a little luck, the borders will be open this summer, nothing is decided, but we believe in it!
